چکیده

Background: Noninvasive Follicular Thyroid Neoplasm (NIFTP), Well differantiated thyroid tumor with uncertain malignity potential (WDT-UMP), follicular (FT-UMP), and Hurtle cell neoplasia (HCN-UMP) have been included in the classification of tumors by WHO, incidence cancer increasing every passing year. There is no consensus regarding follow-up treatment processes these tumors. Our study aims to shed light on our clinical practice evaluating groups without radioactive iodine ablation patients followed up diagnoses.
Material Methods: The 49 older than 18 years age for at least 12 months, who were performed subtotal total thyroidectomy between 2015 2020 diagnosed WDT- UMP, FT-UMP, HCN-UMP, NIFTP according histopathological examination study.
Results: Tumor type rates did not differ that received receive RAI (p=0.361). mean period treatment. Also size (p=0.413). was larger 4 cm 13 patients, 1 patient from this group had Recurrence detected or
Conclusions: Some studies recommend giving borderline cm. But recurrence RAI. That supports view could be even if they are large

[Non-invasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features].

Non-invasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features (NIFTP) was introduced to cover a group of noninvasive encapsulated follicular-patterned thyroid lesions with very low malignant behavior. This nomination may have a great impact on the incidence of thyroid malignancy and the practice for endocrine pathologists. To demonstrate the proportion of the thyroid follicular ...

Noninvasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features: a single-institutional experience in Japan.

Noninvasive encapsulated follicular variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) was reclassified as noninvasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features (NIFTP). To date, no studies on NIFTP have been reported in Japan. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical, cytological, and pathological findings of 54 cases of NIFTP from a single center in Japan, and compare them w...

Noninvasive Follicular Thyroid Neoplasm with Papillary-Like Nuclear Features: An Evidence-Based Nomenclature Change

A consensus panel recently used clinical evidence and pathologic parameters to rename noninvasive encapsulated follicular variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma to noninvasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features (NIFTP) to better reflect the indolent course of this tumor. NIFTP has stringent histopathologic diagnostic criteria established by the panel, including pap...

The Value of Cytological Examination in the Diagnosis of Noninvasive Thyroid Neoplasm with Papillary-like Nuclear Features (NIFTP)

Since the introduction of the concept that the noninvasive encapsulated follicular variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma does not warrant a diagnosis of carcinoma and shall be renamed noninvasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features (NIFTP), many questions have arisen among thyroid cytopathologists concerning the implications of this changing paradigm on the cytolog...

Pathologic basis of the sonographic differences between thyroid cancer and noninvasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features

Ultrasonography is pivotal in triage thyroid biopsy in the era after the identification of noninvasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features (NIFTP). This pictorial essay illustrates the pathologic basis of the sonographic features that distinguish NIFTP from thyroid cancers. In this study, we present the correlations of ultrasonography to ×1 histopathology to assess ...
